I frequent Starbucks much more than I would ideally like to. At least thrice or four times a week. Throughout my years of trying out the majority of the menu, I have created a mental ranking of the things I prefer most at Starbucks, and reduced it down to the best drinks at Starbucks that I actually re-order.

This is not a list that was recycled and whipped up on the Starbucks website. These are my actual choices, the genuine opinions, the real calorie and caffeine, and the customizations that I make each and every time.

How I Picked These Starbucks Recommendations

All the beverages on this list have been ordered at least ten times. No joke. I left out what I made a mistake in, and forgot. In case an item at Starbucks drink did not make me desire to repurchase it on the following morning, it was not in the cut.

I also factored in value. There are beverages that are delicious and seven dollars with customizations. I had those sincere trade-offs in mind. Below, you will find the calories, caffeine, and estimated prices of each individual pick.

Best Coffee Drinks at Starbucks for Espresso Lovers

espresso-based Starbuck drink including Flat White, Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso.

This is the place to be in case you are a coffee lover and you want to taste the espresso. These are the best coffee drinks at Starbucks where espresso is the star not covered in sugar.

Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso

Iced Starbucks Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso in a clear cup, cinnamon sprinkles, oat milk foam,.

This is the most popular Starbucks drinks currently and it is worth the hype. The cinnamon and brown sugar strike you initially followed by the oat milk balancing everything out. It is neither too sweet, nor too bitter. Just right.

Grande has an approximate price of 5.75 on 120 calories and 255mg caffeine. Caffeine kick is no laughing matter to an ice drink. I put an additional shot when it is slow in the mornings. Omit the added vanilla; it is very sweet to itself.

Flat White

Hot Starbucks Flat White in a white cup, creamy microfoam with latte art, warm cozy coffee shop background.

The beverage made by the barista is the Flat White. Ristretto shots were shorter to give a smoother and more intense tasting espresso. The microfoam is smooth and thick. It is the pure quality point of view of best coffee at Starbucks.

A Grande has approximately 220 calories and 195mg caffeine at approximately a price of 5.25. My honest take: order it hot. The frozen one loses the silky texture which makes it special. The transition here is whole milk; you can not replace it with almond unless you need to.

Blonde Vanilla Latte (Hot or Iced)

Starbucks Blonde Vanilla Latte iced in clear cup with oat milk, subtle vanilla, refreshing morning vibe.

Blonde Espresso is sweeter and smoother compared to the normal dark roast and it contains more caffeine as well. Add in vanilla and your milk of choice and you have got a clean and easy going good Starbucks drink that will work any time of the day.

Grande iced has approximately 190 calories, 170mg caffeine, and it costs approximately between 5.45. My order: iced and oat milk instead of four pumps of vanilla. I do not like the default sweetness very much. The two-pump model allows the coffee taste to come out.

Caramel Macchiato

Starbucks Caramel Macchiato with layered espresso and milk, caramel drizzle on top, glass cup.

A classic for a reason. This stratification appearance is attractive, but the actual wizardry is in the fact that the drizzle of caramel on the espresso on the top is the first drink to be taken. It is one of the legendary, famous drinks that Starbucks offers that do not fail to meet its reputation.

About 250 calories, 150mg caffeine, and approximately, a Grande makes about $5.45. A word of caution: To achieve the experience of the layers, do not stir it immediately. Sip from the top first. Want it less sweet? Request half the portion of the vanilla pumps and retain the caramel drizzle.

Cortado (New in 2026)

Starbucks Cortado small 8 oz cup, smooth espresso, creamy microfoam, minimalist cafe table setting.

In early 2025, Starbucks became the first coffee company to place a proper Cortado on the permanent menu. It has 230mg of caffeine in a mere 8 ounces. It is an energy drink that is small, and not huge. By the real talk, it is one of the best Starbucks coffee choices in case you are after intensity.

Approximately 4.25 and approximately 100 calories using whole milk. No syrup, no nonsense. When you ever had the feeling that your latte was too watery and milked, the Cortado makes sure that you will never have that issue again. It also goes with a coffee and walnut cake ridiculously well in case you are in a treat-yourself kind of mood.

Best Cold Brew and Iced Coffee at Starbucks

Starbucks cold brew and iced coffee drinks, clear cups, ice cubes, smooth dark coffee, summer cafe vibes.

A cold beverage is about 75 percent of the total Starbucks orders. That is not a typo. In the search of good Starbucks drinks iced, cold brew is where the quality stands out as compared to the iced coffee done on the normal basis.

Nitro Cold Brew

Starbucks Nitro Cold Brew in a glass cup, nitrogen bubbles cascading, dark coffee with creamy foam.

The ultra-cold brew beer is made creamy with nitrogen gas infusion and does not require any dairy or sugar. Five calories. 280mg caffeine Grande. It is also among the best Starbucks coffee in the case you need a lot of caffeine and a limited amount of calories.

Heads up: Nitro is available in Tall and Grande only since Venti would not have the cascading nitrogen appearance. Do not add ice. The entire fact is that the nitrogen maintains it cool and smooth. Around $4.95 and worth every cent.

Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew

Starbucks Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew, clear cup, swirling cream on top, iced coffee.

It is likely that this is the most popular cold brew beverage in Starbucks. The cream of vanilla sweet is the top and gradually blends with the cold brew as you drink. It is sweet like dessert, but not too sweet.

Grande has approximately 200 calories, 185mg caffeine, approximately 4.95. In case you wish to reduce calories, request half sweet cream. You are still getting the vanilla kiss on top without the entire hit. It is my standby order whenever I am in the mood to indulge without going crazy.

Standard Cold Brew (The Budget King)

Starbucks plain cold brew in clear cup, minimalistic design, dark smooth coffee, ice cubes, natural light.

Unfrozen and unsweetened cold brew costs 5 cal, 205mg caffeine and approximately 4.25 Grande. This is the play in case you only require your caffeine-fix and you want to have good coffee in Starbucks but do not want to spend six dollars on it.

Request light cream or a splash of oat milk in case you would care to have a small amount of richness. That has you at less than 50 calories. The difference in the quality of regular iced coffee and cold brew coffee is enormous. Cold brew takes 20 hours to steep; iced coffee is merely a hot coffee poured over ice.

Best Starbucks Drinks If You Do Not Like Coffee

Colorful Starbucks non-coffee drinks including Pink Drink, Chai Tea Latte, Matcha Latte, London Fog, Dragon Drink.

Not all people desire coffee and that is absolutely okay. In fact, there is a good repertoire of Starbucks drinks to sample in Starbucks that do not involve the use of espresso at all. Some of them are the most ordered products on the entire menu.

Pink Drink (Strawberry Acai Coconut Milk)

Starbucks Pink Drink in clear cup with strawberry acai, coconut milk, tropical fresh look, bright summer background.

The Pink Drink began as a hack on the secret menu and was one of the Starbucks famous drinks of the decade. It has strawberry acai base mixed with coconut milk that gives a rich, creamy, and slightly tropical taste. It is beautiful in photographs, as well.

Approximately 140 calories, 45mg caffeine of green coffee extract, approximately $4.95. The caffeine is subtle. Just consider it a light pick-me-up, but not a complete wake up call. Request no strawberry inclusions when you despise the feeling of freeze-dried bits of fruits.

Chai Tea Latte

Starbucks Chai Tea Latte hot, creamy spiced cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, steam rising, cozy cafe setting.

Warm, spiced, and comforting. Starbucks Chai is made by using a blend of cinnamon, ginger, cardamom and cloves mixed with the steamed milk in the form of a concentrate. It is among the famous Starbucks drinks that individuals become addicted to when they come across it.

Grande has a price of 240 calories and 95mg caffeine at an approximate cost of 4.95. My best piece of advice: order it with oat milk and half pumps of chai concentrate. The typical recipe is sweeter than most individuals anticipate. Since March 2026, it is now possible to adjust the sweetness and the concentrate levels individually.

Matcha Latte

Starbucks Matcha Latte in clear cup, green powder mixed with milk, earthy, creamy, modern cafe vibes.

The past two years really saw Matcha have an outburst on social media. The Starbucks matcha latte is prepared using sweetened matcha powder and the milk of your preference. Green, a bit sweet, earthly. It contains 65mg of caffeine which is not as strong as coffee.

Grande is 220 calories, about $5.95. The truth of the matter is that the Starbucks matcha powder already contains sugar, and you cannot get an unsweetened one. In case of sweetness, few scoops should be ordered. Having two scoops of a Grande rather than three is the same but the sugar is restrained.

London Fog Tea Latte

Starbucks London Fog Tea Latte hot, Earl Grey with steamed milk and vanilla, warm cozy tea setting, light background.

It is the least advertised beverage in the whole menu. Vanilla steamed milk Earl gray tea. The smell of bergamot is beautiful. Calories and caffeine are 140 and 40mg respectively. It is worth the under radar Starbucks recommendations.

About $4.95 for a Grande. I get mine with soy milk which gives it a slight sweetness that compliments the bergamot. During winter it is the warmest thing on the menu. Also ideal when you want to have something warm and at the same time low caffeine content in the evenings.

Dragon Drink (Mango Dragonfruit Coconut Milk)

Starbucks Dragon Drink iced in clear cup, magenta mango dragonfruit base, coconut milk, tropical vibes.

Imagine the Dragon Drink is the tropical brother of the Pink Drink. Bright magenta Mango dragonfruit base, coconut milk. It is also among the cool Starbucks drinks which are as good as they look. The taste is sweet, fruitful and light.

Grande has approximately 130 calories, 45mg caffeine, approximately 4.95. Pro tip: request lemonade version, as opposed to water, to make it even tangier. The dragonfruit bits are not very significant in flavor; it is more of an appearance.

Best Frappuccinos Worth Your Money

Starbucks Frappuccinos including Java Chip and Caramel, whipped cream topping, cold blended coffee drinks.

All right, to tell the truth, Frappuccinos are nothing more than milkshakes. High calorie, high sugar. However, sometimes that is what you desire. These are the two most desirable Starbucks drinks under the blended category that I personally consider worth ordering.

Java Chip Frappuccino

Starbucks Java Chip Frappuccino iced, mocha drizzle, chocolate chips, creamy frozen beverage.

Chocolate chips mixed into a Frappuccino made of coffee with mocha drizzle. It is a frozen mocha with texture and has 440 calories and 105mg of caffeine in a Grande that costs around 5.95. Is it healthy? No. Is it absolutely delicious? Yes.

This is the overall best Starbucks drink that is a part of the Frappuccino menu, in case you love anything chocolate. It is amazingly good with a chocolate brownie on the side, should you be going all the way on a treat day.

Caramel Frappuccino

Starbucks Caramel Frappuccino iced, caramel syrup drizzle, whipped cream on top, cold and creamy drink.

The original crowd-pleaser. Caramel syrup stirred with coffee, milk and ice topped with whipped cream and caramel drizzle. It is among the Starbucks popular drinks which have never been eliminated off the menu and which sell more than most of the newer ones.

Grande 380 calories, 90mg caffeine, approximately $ 5.75. Not much coffee flavor here. It is actually a caramel wine drink. In case you would like additional coffee flavor, order an additional serving of espresso mixed in. That brings a total of 75mg of caffeine and even makes it balanced out with the sweetness.

Best New and Seasonal Starbucks Drinks in 2026

Starbucks seasonal drinks for 2026 including Iced Ube Coconut Macchiato, Caramel Protein Matcha.

The 2025-2026 menu has been wild. Starbucks reduced the menu in the US by nearly a third in its attempt to streamline operations, but they also added some highly innovative new Starbucks orders to try. Here are the standouts.

Iced Ube Coconut Macchiato (Spring 2026)

Starbucks Iced Ube Coconut Macchiato in clear cup, purple ube, toasted coconut foam on top.

This is a new product that was released in March 2026 and it is already one of the top starbucks drinks on social media. Ube makes it sweet, nutty and vanilla in a beautiful purple hue. The cold foam of toasted coconut cream and coconut flakes on top make one feel as though they are in a vacation in a cup.

The sweetness is well balanced in the espresso. It is one of the fun starbucks drinks which feels as mad as it appears to look. You better get it before it is too late in season. In case it triggers the ube cake, that is the message they wanted.

Caramel Protein Matcha (Permanent)

Starbucks Caramel Protein Matcha, creamy green matcha latte with caramel drizzle, healthy protein drink.

This was Starbucks entering the protein trend and it was introduced January of 2026 and is now permanent. Matcha with added protein milk and caramel syrup. A Grande provides me with up to 30 grams of protein, which is insane for a coffee shop beverage.

This is a substitute of your protein shake and your latte in one order, in case you are a person who goes to gym, and then goes to Starbucks. The caramel makes it not bitter when it has a chalky taste. It is truly one of the best sellers of the year smart Starbucks.

Dubai Chocolate Matcha (The Viral Legend)

Starbucks Dubai Chocolate Matcha in clear cup, layered green tea and chocolate, vibrant and trendy.

This beverage had almost half a million views in social media before it was listed as one of the Starbucks menu drinks. The combination of matcha and chocolate is strange, but the chocolatey cocoa and green tea are unexpectedly good.

It began as a TikTok hack and was one of the most popular starbucks orders of 2025. The official version was released at the beginning of 2026. So far, you are not trying this, and you are in the loss of the most discussed season cocktail in the history of Starbucks.

Customizations That Actually Change the Game

Starbucks barista making a customized drink, adding syrups, milk alternatives, iced and hot drinks.

Starbucks homogenized customization pricing mid-2025. Any syrup or sauce add-on will now be a flat $0.80 no matter what one. Cold foam is about $1.25. It is important to know this stuff because you will be able to create good Starbucks orders without putting your money into a pocket.

Free Swaps That Make a Real Difference

To a more sweeter, less bitter shot with a higher concentration of caffeine, replace the espresso with blonde. It is at the free exchange of any espresso beverage. Also complimentary: adjusting the amount of syrup pumps. The fastest method of making any Starbucks drink less sweet is simply by replacement of four pumps with two.

Requesting light ice will add more liquid in your cup. Asking them to make it hot would make your beverage even more last. It is also free to switch nonfat milk and 2% milk. These are little steps, but they become a lot when you visit Starbucks on a regular basis.

Paid Add-Ons That Are Worth the Extra Cost

The cold brew is made into something special with Vanilla sweet cream cold foam (1.25). It is worth adding an additional shot of espresso ($0.80) in case your drink is weak. The most suitable alternative milk product is oat milk, and the Oatly barista blend has become available in most shops.

Serve Strawberry puree drizzled over cold foam. It is free of charge in most cases when the store is stocked. The sugar-free vanilla and sugar-free caramel syrups are currently both on the menu, and this would be good where a person is reducing cutting sugar in their diet.

Starbucks Orders to Avoid (Honest Mistakes I Have Made)

Overloaded Starbucks drinks with whipped cream, overly sweet Frappuccino, messy table.

I have wasted lots of my money figuring out what is not going to work. These are the Starbucks beverages and order behavior that I would do away with:

  • Ordering a Venti Frappuccino to think that it is a good deal. You are spending 6.25 + on 500-600 calories of sugar. A Tall provides a similar experience of taste to a lesser price.
  • Replacing cold brew with iced coffee. Iced coffee is simply hot coffee that has been poured on ice. Cold brew is steeped 20 hours. The variance in the smoothness is gigantic, and the disparity in price is approximately 80 cents.
  • Ordering an exclusive menu drink by name. Baristas lack a secret menu list. Order or bring the recipe to change one by one. Otherwise you will receive empty grins.
  • Topping all of it with whipped cream. That is 60-100 additional calories on a drink that does not provide the payoff of any flavor. Cold foam is a more worthy of those calories.
  • Placing an order in the middle of the rush with 10 customizations. When the bar is slammed the quality of your drinks suffers. Store complicated orders during off-peak periods.

How to Save Money at Starbucks Without Giving Up Quality

Man in a Starbucks café holding an iced coffee and a Starbucks Rewards card.

Being a person who visits three or four times a week, I have learned the most optimal Starbucks orders that will not break my wallet. These tips will help me save approximately 15-20 each week.

  • Sign up to Starbucks Rewards, and earn 150 Stars and get a free drink of any size, with any customizations. It is approximately a free beverage every 8-10 visits.
  • Order a Tall in a Grande cup. You pay a Tall but receive room of extra ice or splash of milk. Completely permissible and saves one or two dollars.
  • Take a latte, have an iced Americano with a splash of milk. Tastes, costs 1-2 cheaper, with more caffeine. This is the insider budget hack.
  • Trenta is the most affordable cold beverage size. It weighs 31 ounces, and is perhaps half a dollar higher than a Venti. Ice tea, iced coffee, cold brew, and Refreshers available.
  • Stack birthday rewards. You get free any single drink on your birthday reward, however loaded it gets. Go wild that day.
  • Brew at home some days. Starbucks retail their blonde roast beans in groceries. A $12 bag makes roughly 40 cups. I alternate visiting my store and home brew.

When Do Seasonal Starbucks Drinks Come Back? (2026 Calendar)

Collage of Starbucks seasonal drinks for Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter, colorful and festive presentation.

The drinks to try at starbucks may be seasonal, and therefore knowing the approximate time of the year will allow you to plan. This is where the large seasonal specials usually come into play in the menu.

Season (Approx.)   Featured Drinks   My Pick of the Season
Spring (Mar-May)   Ube Coconut Macchiato, Lavender Latte, Lavender Matcha, Toasted Coconut Cold Brew   Iced Ube Coconut Macchiato
Summer (Jun-Aug)   Summer Berry Refreshers, Tropical flavors, Lemonade blends   Mango Dragonfruit Lemonade
Fall (Sep-Nov)   Pumpkin Spice Latte, Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew, Pecan Crunch Oat Latte, Apple Crisp   Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew
Winter (Nov-Jan)   Peppermint Mocha, Caramel Brulée Latte, Chestnut Praline, Eggnog Latte, Gingerbread Chai   Caramel Brulée Latte
Valentine (Feb)   Strawberry Shortcake Frapp, White Choc Strawberry Cold Brew, Banana Bread Matcha   Strawberry Shortcake Frapp

Frequently Asked Questions About the Best Starbucks Drinks

What is the most popular drink at Starbucks right now?

The number one in 2025-2026 is the Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso. It appears in the position of the top seller in nearly all the rankings and barista surveys. The Pink Drink comes in the second place, particularly to non coffee drinkers.

But what do I want to order at Starbucks in case I do not like coffee?

Order the Pink Drink, Chai Tea Latte, Dragon Drink, London Fog, or Matcha Latte. None of them include espresso. The Chai and the Matcha contain tea caffeine and the Refreshers a slight addition of green coffee extract. In case zero caffeine is what you desire, the Vanilla Bean Creme Frappuccino or Caramel Apple Spice is what you want to have.

What is the strongest Starbucks drink for caffeine?

The highest amount of caffeine in the menu is 475mg of Venti Blonde Roast brewed coffee. In the case of espresso beverages, the Nitro Cold Brew Grande contains 280mg. The Cortado has a concentration of 230mg in only 8 ounces, which makes it the strongest.

What is the healthiest drink in Starbucks?

Black brewed coffee or regular cold brew at 5 calories each. The Iced Passion Tango Tea is made with no caffeine with zero calories. In case you want it to be more flavorful, an Iced Shaken Espresso with almond milk is not far (around 80 cal).

Which is the most affordable beverage in Starbucks?

The cheapest drink is a Tall brewed coffee priced at approximately 2.45. Brewed hot tea is also around $2.75. At approximately $2.95, a Tall iced coffee is the best budget option in case you want something cold.

Do Starbucks secret menu exist?

Yes, and in fact, with the help of the app Starbucks has an official secret menu as of July 2025, open to Rewards members. It turns around various works on a periodic basis. Prior to this, secret menu beverages were simply drinks invented by the customer, through customization. There is no secret menu and therefore, a barista will give you the recipe whenever ordering a personalized one.

Good or hype: Is the Pink Drink really good?

Honestly, both. It is truly delicious when you prefer to have sweet, slightly sweet and cool beverages. The coconut milk makes it creamy like plain Refreshers is not. It is not a life changing one but it is always good and easy to drink. Hype made people have a taste of it but the flavor makes people come back.

What does blonde espresso mean at Starbucks?

Blonde espresso has a lighter roast bean which is smoother and slightly sweeter as compared to the usual signature roast. It contains higher amounts of caffeine per shot as well. You are free to replace any espresso beverage with blonde espresso. Personally, I like it in latte macchiato since it is not bitter.

How do I make my Starbucks drink less sweet?

Ask for fewer syrup pumps. The number of pumps of syrup is four in a Grande. The request of two pumps leaves the sweetness half and does not take away the flavor completely. Sugar-free caramel or sugar-free vanilla is also available as an option. Nonfat milk is also a little less sweet as compared to whole milk.

What are the best Starbucks drinks for kids?

Starbucks has a children menu of smaller size and cheaper prices. Vanilla bean Creme Frappuccino contains no caffeine and is caramel-flavored in its taste. Another sure thing is hot chocolate, in a kid size. Also popular are steamers (syruped milk made steamed). Younger children should avoid the espresso or green coffee extract.

Is Starbucks cold brew better than iced coffee?

In my opinion, absolutely yes. Cold brew is left in cold water and that is why it is softer, less acidic, and sweeter of course. Iced coffee- This is the normal hot brewed coffee, but poured over ice and it has a watery and bitter taste. The cost variance is minimal and, therefore, cold brew is worth the upgrade on all occasions.

What new Starbucks drinks are available in spring 2026?

The spring 2026 menu was also released March 3 and features the Iced Ube Coconut Macchiato, Toasted Coconut Cream Cold Brew, Toasted Coconut Latte and returning Lavender hits such as the Iced Lavender Cream Chai and Iced Lavender Latte. The Iced Mango Cream Matcha and Iced Ube Coconut Cream Shaken Espresso come 7th April.

The Bottom Line on Starbucks Orders

Starbucks does not have one best drink which suits all. The customization tips, the comparison table and this list should enable you to walk in and make the order without any hesitation.

Try something new next time. Get that Cortado or that Ube Macchiato. There is not enough time in life to order the same vanilla latte each time. You will find yourself loving your next Starbucks drink which you have never tasted before.
